Our featured venue is Zietsies Guest House & Private Dining Room, as recommended by Michelle Beckmann. Michelle will be hosting a birthday bash there soon. The venue is owned by Elzabe Zietsmans, a well known South African songstress and actress.

Says Michelle: "Zietsies is a guest house situated on the highest koppies in Johannesburg in the suburb of Auckland Park, offering beautiful views of the city. Zietsies Guest House and Private Dining Room offers a unique experience for guests staying over in one of the beautiful bedrooms as well as for guests who are dining there or attending a private function.

It doesn’t operate as a restaurant in the traditional sense of the word and is better described as a private dining room. The maximum capacity is 30 for a seated dinner but can accommodate up to 45 people for a cocktail function. Elzabe never provides a menu beforehand as she buys and cooks what is fresh and available on the day but obviously can accommodate dietary requirements if informed in advance. Elzabe also often performs with a pianist upon prior arrangement at an additional fee but makes for a memorable and unique dining experience."
